Pistons
Each pump features inner and outer pistons/piston plates. These plates keep the diaphragm in position. The outer piston plate is traditionally made of the same material as the wetted parts (chambers, manifolds, etc.) They accommodate the shaft which moves east/west, moving the diaphragm from convex to concave during the fluid transfer process.
